About
Allison
Allison Babb is CEO of Allison
Babb International LLC, and founder of
GreatSmallBusinessAdvice.com - a company devoted to
the success of solo entrepreneurs.
Allison's
journey into entrepreneurship was an interesting one.
After climbing the corporate ladder and becoming a
successful senior manager at a software company, Allison
began feeling quite unfulfilled.
Despite her
remarkable success in the corporate world, she felt
something was missing in her life. Deep inside,
Allison knew that she was called to do something different in the
world and that senior management was not it. She
began her inner search for what she was truly meant to do
with her life.
Allison spent
over 2 years wrestling with the idea of leaving the security of her
6-figure corporate paycheck. But as a single mom with two
kids, Allison finally decided that it was time to step into
entrepreneurship (petrifying as it seemed at the time).
But not so fast...
But success was
not instant. While still employed, Allison realized
that her true passion and calling was in her natural
abilities as a gifted coach. She completed training at
Coach University and started her first business as a Life
Coach. Although she had some clients, without a mentor
and without any business-building knowledge, her Life
Coaching business
eventually failed.
Allison quickly reflected on this
experience and knew that to fulfill her self-employment
dreams, she must discover what it took to
create a truly successful business. As a single parent, she
knew that failure was simply not an option in her
quest to become self-employed full-time.
The search for
the success recipe...
Allison's
prevailing belief was "Someone out there HAS the recipe
for building a successful business and I intend to
find it." And with that, she made the
decision to study 6- and 7-figure solo entrepreneurs.
With relentless determination, she immersed herself in their
programs, bought their books, audios, enrolled in their live
seminars, listened to hundreds of teleseminars and, most
importantly, hired several of them to coach her one-on-one.
To the tune of
well over $150K, Allison invested her own money in discovering
exactly what it took to create a successful business.
Allison admits to being an information hound.
She received and applied a colossal amount of teaching and
coaching from experts in the areas of online marketing,
direct marketing, information marketing, public speaking,
copywriting, information product creation, product launch
methods, wealth-building, creating and marketing workshops,
success mindset and the list goes on!
Staying with her
gift for coaching though, it was during her time of immense discovery that
Allison started her second business as an Executive Coach.
She used her senior management experience and leadership
skills to create and teach powerful workshops to hundreds of
managers and also to coach them one-on-one toward leadership
success.
Goodbye
Corporate Job
In her time as
an Executive Coach, a funny thing happened. One
manager after another began asking
Allison for help in making their own transition from unfulfilling corporate
jobs to self-employment.
This
prompted Allison to create GoodbyeCorporateJob.com where she
mentored and coached "corporate captives" on how to make a
successful transition to entrepreneurship. In that endeavor,
Allison became known as the "Paycheck Addiction Therapist™."
A magnet for
solo entrepreneurs
From there, more and more full-time entrepreneurs were drawn
to Allison's authentic, motivational, action-oriented, and
results-focused coaching. They began showing up asking
for Allison's advice and mentoring on creating successful
businesses. And this led to her creating GreatSmallBusinessAdvice.com.
This is where she now spends most of
her time coaching and mentoring small business owners with a
heartfelt passion for bringing the business success recipe to
solo entrepreneurs.
As more and more questions came
in, and as her list of followers grew to thousands of small
business owners, it was no longer possible to coach everyone
one-on-one. To respond to the masses, Allison decided to put her advice into a product so more of
them can have access to her expertise without needing to
enroll in her coaching programs.
To get her message and lucrative
success system into the hands of her fellow entrepreneurs, she
then created a 5-step easy-to-follow system called "The
Ultimate Clients And Cash Home System" to teach solo
entrepreneurs how to create a steady stream of clients and a
repeatable income for
their businesses.
But Allison always likes to add her own
personal touch. So you'll hear her upbeat motivating
voice unleashing a colossal amount of profit-generating
ideas on audio CDs coaching you through the entire system. Allison's book
7 Biggest Mistakes Small
Business Owners Make is another profit-generating
resource that's highly valued by her customers and clients.
Other products and
coaching programs are also
available.
Reaching out to
thousands
In
addition to her ongoing
weekly communication with thousands who have showed up at
her web site looking for small business guidance,
Allison most enjoys sharing her message in person.
In
addition to being
featured on radio shows, tv shows, and newspaper articles, Allison is out
each month speaking at live
events,
revealing easy
yet lucrative strategies that small business owners an instantly put into action.
And still
keeping it simple
Allison is an upbeat and very down-to-earth single mom who
likes to keep life simple. When she's not
taking her relentless high-energy to speaking gigs, or escaping to
warm Caribbean vacations,
Allison is usually kicking back at home with her two kids.
"I'm a total home-body." Allison says.
She
is a devoted Christian who grew
up in the tiny Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago then
(ironically) lived in frigid cold Massachusetts for over 23 years. She then
"came to her senses" as she puts it, and decided it was time
to retire the snow shovels. Allison now resides in Georgia
with her two sons. She still has her sights set on
moving further south in her attempts to reclaim that "85
degrees year around" she grew up with.
